Travel/Medical Insurance:

We take the safety and care of our guests very seriously and in order to protect yourself against any unlikely travel disruption to your holiday or accident, we require each guest to show proof of adequate travel & medical insurance prior to your arrival in Ikaria. In the event that you cannot show proof of coverage you will not be able to participate in any activity/tour until such proof is offered. The cost of travel/accident insurance is very affordable and well worth the peace of mind it brings to you and your family. You can easily purchase a policy online. The average cost of a 7 day policy is around €25 per person, or € 60 for a family (2 adults with up to 3 children under the age of 18).

Individual Day Tours & Activities - Payments & Deposits for Bookings:


In order to confirm an individual daily activity or daily tour booking we require a 50% deposit payment per guest.
Payments are in Euros (€) and can be made via Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, PayPal or IBAN/BIC-SWIFT transfer. Credit card payments will incur an additional transaction fee of 3.5%.
The remaining 50% is payable anytime up to 14 days before commencement of the activity/tour.

If you book a day activity or day tour within 14 days of its start you must pay the full price at the time of booking.
We use a secure encrypted server (SSL,HTTPS) for credit card payments.

Multi Day Holiday Tours - Payments & Deposits for Bookings:

In order to confirm a Multi Day Holiday Tour booking we require a 35% deposit payment per guest.

You will be charged the deposit only after having confirmed to us your travel dates and preferences (flight or ferry to/from Ikaria) and only after having agreed to the travel itinerary we create for you.

This also allows you to verify your travel options to/from Ikaria from your home country and plan your travel before and after your tour with us.
If you book a multi day holiday tour within 14 days of its start you must pay the full price at the time of booking.

Date Changes, Cancellations & Refunds:


Individual Day Tours & Day Activities
Guests can request and make changes to their day activity/tour date(s) free of charge at any time subject to schedule, accommodation and transportation availabilty for the new date(s) and subject to any price differences from our suppliers for the new dates.
If you cancel your day tour/activity at any time before its start date, you lose your initial deposit/balance payment, but you have the option to reschedule and apply any payments to a new date(s), subject to availability. We want you to have fun and experience Ikaria and will work with you to schedule another date/time.

Multi Day Holiday Tours
Guests can request and make changes to their Multi Day Holiday Tour free of charge at any time prior to the tour start date subject to availabilty for the new date(s) and subject to any price differences from our suppliers for the new date(s).
If you request to cancel your multi day tour at least 30 days prior to its start date, you will receive a refund of 50% of any amounts paid, minus refund transaction fees, but you have the option to reschedule and apply any non-refunded amount(minus transaction fees) to a new date(s), subject to availability and any price differences from our suppliers.
Cancellations made within 30 days are not eligible for any refund of amounts paid, but you have the option to reschedule and apply any non-refunded amount(minus transaction fees) to a new date(s), subject to availability and any price differences from our suppliers. We want you to have fun and experience Ikaria and will work with you to schedule other dates.

Activity Delays, Cancellations and Substitutions:


Upon occasion it may be neccessary or unavoidable to cancel or reschedule activities due to weather, safety concerns for our guests, or other unforeseen events. We will make every effort to fulfill your scheduled activity or tour, including our right to reschedule the time that day. If for any reason we are unable to reschedule a cancelled activity during your stay in Ikaria, you will be issued a refund or future credit for that particular activity, except in weather related instances where you will only be issued a future credit..

Statement of Physical Health & Liability Release Waiver:


Prior to participating in any activity or tour each adult guest (and legal guardians/parents on behalf of children under 18 years of age) will be required to agree to and sign a statement declaring their good physical health standing and releasing Island Ikaria Outdoor Activities, its owners, employees and partners from any and all liabilty.
The activities, tours and sports offered are regular/normal sporting activities done under supervision with a guide or leader and for your enjoyment or thrill, as such they require physical exertion, elements of skill, and involve a potential risk of injury.
