Sailing Day Trip to Nearby Fourni Islands - Beaches - Snorkeling - Sailing Adventure

The Aegean Sea around Ikaria is a sailing paradise and the short distance between Ikaria and its island neighbor, Fourni Islands, makes Ikaria's south coast an ideal base for day sailing trips. You can choose from 2 different sailing boats depending on your budget and the number of people in your group. A 44 foot sloop and a 50 foot classic ketch offer day sailing trips in the summer to Fourni's beautiful beaches and hidden coves. Enjoy a fun filled day of adventure.

Trips include stops for snorkelling and swimming at different coves and beaches, a visit to the scenic port of Fourni and a stop at a seaside taverna for lunch. Departures are from either Faros Beach or the marina in the capital Agios Kirikos, and multi-day bareboat or crewed charters are also available for those wishing to visit other Greek Islands as a compliment to their stay in Ikaria.

On trips that depart from Faros, guests just walk a few steps to the beach where Captain Kostas will be waiting to transport you via private dinghy the short distance out to your anchored 44 foot sailing yacht, the S/Y Kaisi. You will set sail from Faros Beach bearing east and after a pleasant 10nm morning sail you will arrive after 1.5 hrs at Petrokopio Beach in the Fourni Islands Chain.

After swimming, snorkelling and relaxing at the beach you will sail again a short distance to Kambi Beach for another swim and the option to have a delicious lunch at one of the seafood tavernas on the beach. Fourni is a fisherman's island and famous for their fresh and affordable seafood and lobster. Guests are welcome to assist in sailing or just relax and enjoy. An optional final stop in the picturesque port town of Fourni is also possible. Return to Faros Beach is in the late afternoon. Suitable for all ages.
