- About Ikaria
A perfect compliment to your stay in Ikaria is a 3 day excursion to the nearby and famous island of Mykonos. We organize everything for you, just show up on your departure day at the port in Ikaria! Don't worry about making expensive hotel reservations, renting cars and having to research and plan on your own. Your group will be cared for from start to finish.
Known for its glamorous and cosmopolitan visitors and lifestyle, Mykonos offers something for everyone and its only 2 hours away from Ikaria with the daily ferry boat. Whether you are looking to dance and party all night to the music from famous DJs, shop for clothes, art and luxury items at top name stores, relax on quiet beaches, people watch in trendy or classic cafes, dine at internationally renowed restaurants, spend the day at exclusive beach resorts or have a massage overlooking the Aegean Sea - Mykonos really does have it all.
This trip is designed to give you a fun and interesting "Mykonos Experience" without you spending a fortune. Its also a unique trip in that your accommodations are in Mykonos Marina on a private sailing yacht. The location is a very convenient place to stay, quiet and right on the water. No need for taxis or rental cars because your yacht is also located within easy walking distance from the ferryboat port. For less than € 2 each way, the 5 minute water taxi ride and local bus to Mykonos town center are only a 1 minute walk from the marina. There are also numerous restaurants, bars, cafes and shops all located within walking distance in the Tourlos neighborhood.
The captain/host will meet you at the port and assist you with settling into the yacht, give you recommendations and directions on what to do and where to go in Mykonos and accompany you if desired, prepare your breakfasts and take care of the yacht and arrange your boat tickets for the trip to Delos island. One of the most important mythological, historical and archaeological sites in Greece.
